Jeremy Fogel

Jeremy Fogel served as Director of the Federal Judicial Center in Washington, DC from 2011 to 2018, as a United States district judge for the Northern District of California from 1998 to 2011, and as a judge of the Santa Clara County Superior and Municipal Courts. Jeremy Fogel has presided over numerous federal criminal cases and civil cases, including trials concerning matters such as perjury, fraud, and other issues. His areas of expertise include intellectual property, judicial selection, administrative law, mediation, antitrust, civil rights, and many others. Since 2018, Jeremy Fogel has been the Executive Director of the Berkeley Judicial Institute, whose mission includes the promotion of an ethical, resilient, and independent judiciary.
