Brendan Dunn served as Sen. Mitch McConnell’s chief advisor on tax, trade, financial services, and retirement matters from 2012-18 and was the key staff architect of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of December 2017. In his position as senior advisor to Sen. McConnell and the Senate Republican leadership, he acted as primary liaison to the business community on tax, trade, financial services, and pension matters before Congress. He also served for two years as special counsel and general counsel of the Senate Finance Committee.
