Randall Eliason served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia from 1989 to 2001, specializing in various areas including grand jury, narcotics, misdemeanors, general felonies, and the Violent Crime Unit. For eight years, he worked in the Public Corruption and Government Fraud section, and then spent two years as that section’s chief. In the role of chief, Randall Eliason supervised eleven Assistant United States Attorneys’ prosecuting white collar cases in federal court. He frequently operates as a media commentator on issues related to corporate and white collar crime, appearing on many news channels such as PBS, NBC, NPR, CNN, MSNBC, and many others. He is a longtime contributing columnist for the Washington Post.
